Event Description: An engaging and interactive networking mixer designed specifically for members of the Violence & Trauma SIG Group. This event offers a unique opportunity for VT-SIG members to connect, collaborate, and share insights on their research on violence and trauma.
Objectives:
• Review yearlong SIG successes and accomplishments.
• Encourage collaboration on ongoing and future research projects.
• Provide a platform for members to discuss their work and exchange ideas.
• Foster a sense of community and belonging within the SIG.
Agenda:
1. Welcome and Opening Remarks (10 minutes)
o Introduction by the VT-SIG co-chairs
o Introduction of VT-SIG subcommittees and subcommittee members
o Overview of past year SIG programs and accomplishments
o Recognition of award winners
2. SIG Members Meet & Greet (35 minutes)
o Attendees rotate and briefly discuss their research interests as well as their goals for participating in this networking event.
o Informal networking time
o Opportunity to discuss specific topics of interest and explore potential collaborations
3. Closing Remarks (5 minutes)
o Summary of key takeaways
o Information on upcoming SIG activities and how to get involved

• New and old members of the Violence and Trauma SIG.
• Attendees of the SBM annual conference interested in research on violence and trauma.
