Networking Session 11: Meet the Funders and Bridge Perspectives in Behavioral Medicine
This networking session will include representatives from multiple funding agencies and provide attendees with an opportunity to network with funders, learn about various funding mechanisms, ask questions about funding priorities and opportunities, and better understand the funding landscape related to multiple fields within behavioral medicine. Representatives from several non-profit organizations will be in attendance at the networking session to discuss their funding opportunities in the areas of cardiovascular disease, cancer research, and psychological research. This session is particularly well-suited for individuals who are seeking to diversify their funding portfolio, or seeking funding for research in various stages. This session is open to all SBM attendees and is highly complementary to other organized panel discussions around topic-specific funding opportunities in behavioral medicine that focus on studying and intervening on multiple levels of context (e.g., policy, systems science, implementation science) and offer opportunities to bridge perspectives across disciplines and professions.
