Breakfast Roundtable: Public Education Committee

The Public Education Committee (PEC) aims to enhance science communication (SciComm) within the Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM) by offering members training, tools, and resources. Over the past year, PEC’s strategic priority has been to increase the visibility and reach of SBM’s Healthy Living website, which presents evidence-based lifestyle information to the public. Popular articles by members on subjects such as vaping, GLP-1s, and mental health attract web users to SBM as a reliable information source. Conference attendees interested in science communication are encouraged to attend to learn more about PEC resources and to converse about future training and resource needs with current committee members.
